PSAs (Public Service Announcements), letters, and Omani traditional dance...our day of collaboration with Beveridge International Eighth Graders was a huge success! Without a moment to spare we got to discuss the challenges and benefits of living abroad, the values of cross-cultural relationships, and what it means to be a "Global Citizen."
How do you communicate in 30 seconds what it means to have friendships with people from all over the world?! Our PSAs will reveal the answer to that question...but I'll tell you it involves maps, colored paper, handshakes, flags, smiles, Arabic, Korean, German, Japanese, Tajik, Spanish and a huge amount of creativity under pressure!! Thanks to Beveridge for your wonderful welcome and insightful questions. As our students said, "They rock!"

Before to go Beveridge school, I was excited to meet international mind boys :) I met a pretty cute and curious guys, they had a lots of questions but the time was too short. We should have a more time to talk each other, because it was really interesting. Also I am impressed that they are eager to know different culture. I want to keep the contact and I am missing you guys John and Jacob;)

This experience was very good for me!! it was the first time that I talk with american middle school students. I met one boy named Kolton and one girl named Makenzie. They are interested in International study and they have a lot of knowledge about global events.Though that time was short, that was great time because I met their. I feel something lacking about I didn't talk with their not much because my english ability was not good. I look forward to meet Beveridge school students this Thursday!! :D

In my opinion, it was the best trip for the service learning class. I got the chance to meet two boys from the international studies ( Tony & Lionel ), they were amazing. We had a great conversation. We asked each other many questions which were in our mind. I got all the answers for my questions and I hope they got the answers for their questions as well. after that we did the PSA. Tony gave me some great ideas for the PSA, then me and Lionel did it. The only problem we had is the time but everything else was very perfect. ;D

The most thing that I liked about the beveridge school is the maps of the world that they did. It was like if you are visiting lots of countries in one moment.

I enjoyed everything with the UNO students. My favorite thing of all was the international fest.
