After an overview of the Food Bank's mission, our team set off to pack "Weekend Backpack Meals," a variety of food items that provide nourishment for kids on the weekend. Our group worked as a team and even managed a few mistakes along the way with a smile!
Student Reflections included:

I'm so glad to be the first comment. The food bank is our first trip. We put different kinds of food to a pack. My work was about apple sauce. I needed to check every apple sauce because they were easy to leak. We all wanted to give good packs for children. We did that very quickly,so I thought we are a good team. I also want to see the smile from children who have got the packs we did.

Food bank was our first off campus trip . I have to admit that I made a mistake on this trip, I was late to the group but hopefully I arrive at the food bank on a good time. I like the presentation we had about the food bank it self and some of the statistics about hunger. After that we went to work , and my job was to boxing the stuff and put the boxes in group. I felt happy for helping people who are may need that help.

After visited the Food bank, I thought The place like a food bank is more need and want to more establish because food bank's job is really great! Specially, working which help elementary school students. Of course, i am good because i could participating and helping their work.

Food bank volunteering is first volunteering in service learning class. so it is meaningful to me. i think we are good worker:)

Food Bank was great volunteering for me. my work was to boxing the stuff and put the boxes together. i felt it is so excitig work because we worked together. so i learned interactive work is so important such as team work.

I'm happy when he became a role of helping the poor people. in the food bank we was working as a one hand and we help each other to relieve our mistakes. also we are working to the same reason which is helping the poor people.

It was nice trip, i liked my job which was making boxes. It was a wonderful opportunity to volunteering in food bank because it is a company that wants to help feeding poor people who dont have food to eat.

In all of my life this was my first time to volunteering. Before we went there i was very anxious about that because i was asking myself if i will be good for that. But i saw it was easy and funny to work together. I was so happy after that because i knew many children will get food.
